Norwegian painter Tove Hellerude

"Painting is the invisible imprint."

Every painting is a chapter of a story, told in a continuous stream. Some of the paintings are difficult to finish, it's like they have a need for more time. Every single painting has it's own journey, with emotion and precision.

Tove Hellerud's work belong to the abstract painting, with a multitude of possible variations, lyrical, geometrical, spontaneous, biomorf, thick layers or minimalistic. It takes courage to choose the abstraction as expression.w

Ward-Nasse Gallery is a multi-cultural art space showing art work from artists around the world.
Ward-Nasse Gallery is located in SoHo at 178 Prince Street, between Thompson and Sullivan. Take the N, R train to Prince Street, 1,9 train to Houston or the C, E train to Spring Street. Hours: Tu-Sa 11-6, Su 1-6.

The Ward-Nasse Gallery, founded by Harry Nasse, first opened as a commercial art gallery in Boston during the early sixties. When Harry Nasse moved to New York in 1970, he switched to artist-run cooperative status for the gallery. All modes of contemporary art are exhibited, from traditionally executed works to more experimental art forms. Artists from across the country share walls with artists from Europe, Asia and South America.
The Ward-Nasse Gallery presents mostly group exhibitions, for the more than 40 years of operation the full list of artists who have exhibited is quite extensive, and numbers in the thousands.Some New York City artists who have started their careers or who continue to exhibit at Ward-Nasse are Laurie Anderson, performance artist.
